some thoughts

For research for my contrast assignment I looked at lots of other students’ blogs. Some of these blogs were very good and had excellent marks for their contrast assignments.  Others had information about things that they could do better in their assignments, I found this more helpful as I used it to inform my own judgements. I think that this sort of research has worked well for me and helped me to understand what is expected of students doing this assignment. I also used Google as a way of researching ideas and images that would suit certain contrasts for the assignment. I used it to think of concepts (i.e. The concepts of smooth/rough), and how this is viewed in an image using visual communication. I think this has worked to help me understand what it is I’m trying to say myself with images. This is a segment of writing from my new voice dictation software. I think that this is helping me to better understand my writing and helping me to generate ideas and get them down on paper easier so I thought I’d share this segment with you.

shopping trip

I've been shopping and got a new computer and dragon software. i'm hoping this will help me with my writing. I also got a wacom tablet I'm hopeing to get to grips with these new ways of controling my computer. I'll be continuing.

I got my new flash today it's an meike fc100 ring flash It's a very cheap led powered flash or continuous light.
it works well and is very well built it wont work as a none macro flash as well as it's a bit under powered for that but it will be a good edition to my lighting for still life.

I've got some macro extension tube coming and a new lens too. hopefully they'll get here before Christmas.
